Today’s article is a little different. I turned 25 years old in March and my friend bought me a professional photo shoot for it. Thanks again girls for that <3
I wanted to share the photos with you, because why not? 🙂
Turning 25 is a big step and I take advantage of it to do a little recap on my life. In my previous article I told you that my life was a bit chaotic these days and I want to talk about it a bit here. After all, that’s the point of a blog right? Sharing and discussing.
Everything « collapsed » when I finished my studies in September. And I am sure, I am not the only one in this situation: I’ve struggled finding a permanent job. To be honest, I didn’t expect that at all! Without meaning to brag but after studying in LA, working in Germany and studying at the London College of Fashion I thought it would have been so easy to work in Paris. But no. Only poorly paid internships are offered on the market, people make you wait for weeks before giving you a negative response and so on… As a consequence, I found myself working in Digital Marketing for a construction company in Normandy, unbelievable right? I reached a point where I was so unmotivated that I would do any job to get money to travel. And it worked, I went to Vietnam after this.
Traveling was great, I enjoyed it so much. Once I was back I felt motivated again to look for jobs. Then, a miracle happened and I found a permanent job as a Community Manager for a beauty brand in Paris. Still, it wasn’t fashion but beauty and fashion go hand in hand so it was fine. I was so happy about it. Everything went fine, until for budget reasons they had to break my trial period. It was so unexpected especially that I just found a apartment but I couldn’t accept the deal without a job. I was so close to reach the stability I dream about and everything felt apart in one weekend. On top of that, we split with my BF after four years.
But it is fine now. After all, I learnt a lot while I was working for the two companies and I met amazing people. In Paris I stayed at my aunt’s place and I had so much fun with my cousins!!
Now, I am about to work for 3 months in PR still not in fashion but in culture, which is fine.
To be honest, I can’t wait for the next chapter in my life to begin and I am sincerely thinking about what I will do next. Maybe working full time on the blog or moving abroad (again)? Only god knows… 🙂
