In September, I finished my Masters studies in Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the London College of Fashion. Almost one year after, I was back in London for my graduation ceremony and this was one my favorite day of 2018.
To quickly talk about LCF, I LOVED studying there. I’ve quite always hated school, especially my undergrad in Paris (except for the reason that it made me go to LA) and for the first time, I enjoyed going to school every day. To be honest, the setting of LCF was so just perfect to me. First, it was a fashion school and our teachers were great. Second, everything was made so that we feel well in there. The school was perfectly located in the center of the city, the buildings were modern, the cafeteria and snack bar were cool, you just have to be happy to go to school! On top of that, I enjoyed so much living in London.
So of course, I was so happy to be back in town for my graduation ceremony. Actually, I didn’t know what to expect, we don’t have graduation ceremonies in France. I was imagining something in the American style as I knew we wore the traditional outfit. Frankly, at the end I wasn’t disappointed. The graduation ceremony was amazing, I was even emotional and I held my tears back not to cry. It was like all the pressure from all your studies that finally went away. It’s pretty hard to describe the ceremony on paper (or on screen) because it was a whole: the live music (a giant organ plus a band), our gowns and those of our teachers, videos playing on a big screen and touching speeches. For the first time of my life I said to myself “ be proud, look what you achieved, you lived in many different countries and now you graduated from one the best fashion schools in the world, and all thanks to your own efforts” (of course, if some people didn’t help me, I wouldn’t have achieved it).
It was a very unique moment and I was even happier to share it with my family.
